Youth and Young Children Services Committee

The Youth and Young Children Services Committee's goal is to provide a wide spectrum of support to the school-aged youth of our community.  We provide grants to Benton County non-profit organizations and community organizations serving the needs of youth. The members of the Kiwanis Club of Corvallis meet background requirements annually and are available to do hands-on volunteer work in the community.

In addition, we organize and sponsor special events including an annual Children’s Farm Home and a youth planting activity during the Spring Garden Festival at Corvallis Central Park. 

Corvallis has three public high schools. The committee provides financial recognition for "Student of the Quarter" and "Special Recognition Award."  At year end, one of the quarterly award recipients at Corvallis High School and Crescent Valley are chosen to receive "The Student of the Year" and a scholarship to their choice of college.

Young Children Priority One! as a sub-committee  forcuses on the needs of prenatal children through age five.  It supports local non-profit programs in the Benton County Community!
